Malahide Castle and Gardens is preparing for a huge musical evening on Thursday 1st September when marching bands from the USA and Dublin will gather in the Castle grounds for a free evening of music, cheerleaders and pom poms. Hosted by Fingal County Council, two of the USA’s finest College Marching Bands, Boston College’s Screaming Eagles and Georgia Tech’s Yellow Jackets will play alongside a number of local bands including the Crumlin Youth Band, Tallaght Youth Band, Dublin Fire Brigade Pipe Band at this free event.
Both bands are in Dublin as part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic 2016 taking place in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 3rd September, and Thursday night’s event provides an opportunity to see them go through their paces in this very special atmosphere as the majestic Malahide Castle is transformed into a marching band extravaganza.
This is a FREE event and tickets do not need to be booked in advance. There are 2,000 seats available and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Local charity Ross Nugent Foundation are delighted to announce the 2016 ROSS FACTOR talent show on 15 Sept. in the Academy, Abbey St. 8 live acts will battle it out for the Ross Factor trophy with guest appearances from Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of "Aslan" and boyband "Taken".
