About ChillOut Ireland

We are a movement in wellness and mindful living. Ann-Marie Ireland (Director), has worked in education for over 16 years and set up ChillOut Ireland 8 years ago whilst still teaching. She designed a Well-Being Programme in her own school in Malahide, along with then designing and facilitating courses and workshops nationwide for teachers, school leaders, young people and children. She has worked in education centres across Ireland, along with working with several educational bodies too including the INTO and the Teaching Council. She has worked with Laya Healthcare for the past 4 years writing for their superb ‘Super Troopers’ Health Homework Programme for primary schools and is currently undertaking a research masters in the area of teacher well-being in DCU. ChillOut Ireland is now expanding and we have some wonderful new facilitators on board (all former fully qualified teachers). We are now running classes in Malahide and Naas specifically for children from 2 nd to 6 th class level.

As teachers, we have seen how stress and anxiety can affect children and families, and have worked for many years to find ways to help children, young people, parents and teachers to alleviate this stress, build resilience and enjoy life somuch more, with improved focus and concentration too.

We believe in mindful living and human connection. We acknowledge how modern life, technology and stress has taken it’s toll on the health and well-being of our nation. We also believe that schools, education centres and educational bodies are not only communities within themselves but they are also at the heart of local and wider communities throughout Ireland. Therefore, we wish to open up spaces where we can take care of, and empower the children, young people, teachers, school leaders and parents of Ireland who live and work within these communities.

We hold to the principles of empathy, compassion (for self and others), gratitude, mindful living, kindness, equality, understanding, mutual respect, peace and self-care. We believe in living from the heart and finding peace and happiness in the ordinary moments. We work with intention in all that we do which means each day we set out to work with others being reminded of our intention and philosophy from the start; to empower, to improve life for others and to work from our hearts in doing so.

We believe that in bringing these principles and values into schools, homes and ultimately into the community, we are empowering others to live a more focused, resilient, mindful and enjoyable life.
